Splicer solves the greatest challenge for Brazilian broadcasters: coordinating national and regional signals across a continental country — at affiliates, repeaters, and remote sites — with a web interface, minimal hardware, and substantially lower cost.
The signal switches between network and localwithout the viewer noticing.
Through remote commands that insert metadata into the Transport Stream identifiers (PIDs), Splicer switches between signals at the final transmission stage — switching between satellite and microwave, for example, with total precision and no interruption of the stream for the viewer.
